Okay, so if you're like me you run really hot. Even in a basement, in the summer your hands can sweat causing an uncomfortable playing experience. The solution? NightHawk's PCMs. It's a mixture that freezes at higher temperatures than normal ice. It also holds more heat and takes much longer to melt due to the temperature delta. This mixture is cool but not cold, and it stays that way for hours. The proposed method he suggests is for outside, which it works well for. I think it's perfect for this as well. The application would depend on your specific use case, for instance, my table is glass, so the obvious application method is right under where the arm rests. I'm trying this out now by just filling a container with it and setting it on the desk, causing the whole thing to cool down.

I could totally see LTT making a new custom desk with a glass plate under where the mouse goes, then putting a space for a bag of this. A copper plate would also work if you wanted to charge a wireless mouse.

If anyone is thinking of cooling a PC with this, they aren't ready for that. They have a crystallization problem, so they don't last enough cycles. A bag of it can be put in hot water after a month or two. That's actually the reason you don't see this tech everywhere, but researchers are getting close.

This is V2, which I can't make because I can't afford a 200$ bag of a whole ton of the key ingredient. My success is with V1, which uses Sodium sulfate.

I'll preface this with - I also run hot, at least when I sleep. Fast metabolism. I've also had multiple people that I've slept next to comment that I'm physically warm.

One underrated thing... losing bodyfat. I feel WAY less hot at around 10-12% bodyfat than I did at 15-20% when I was in my decade long "permabulk" phase.

------

As far as LMG making a glass desk... shipping almost certainly kills it. Too much risk. Too much hassle. Too much overhead. Maybe run a large fan slowly nearby assuming ambients aren't too crazy.

Do you also feel cold when you sleep? I get the 'like a furnace' comment as well but I always feel cold in my sleep and pile on blankets or even turn on an electric heating throw to keep myself feeling warm.

Generally hot unless I chill the room to around 65 degrees (19C) and don't use a blanket. I intentionally try to chill things before bed for the sake of sleep quality though.

I'm also a furnace and my hands sweat a lot, especially when gaming, like online games. Pool of absorbed sweat on my mousepad forms just after a while, I have to clean my pad when I notice it slow down over time.

I just quickly wipe myhand on shirt here and there and clean my peripherals so no gunk.

Maybe dry ice is the answer.

Well it's a helluva lot cheaper than the OP's idea.

and some gamers spend a lot on useless things, like RGB crap and fishbowl cases for example.

The fan mouse actually solves a problem.

What problem does RGB on everything solve?

What problem does a glass case solve, (actually they compound heat issues)?

Glass mousepads are/were a thing. For example from Razer https://www.razer.com/eu-en/gaming-mouse-mats/razer-atlas?srsltid=AfmBOoqpXxweIchoXmsnBfHKiRpY_naMeQh7Qy8e88wlhlL-EtBUBtXt

Though I think they were mostly a phase when laser was more accurate sensor than optical and glass worked better with laser mice.
