Power Supply Concern for GPU

No im saying if I manage to buy a 500W with a 8 pin will it run fine?

Or should i do something else

That's ok

Think about getting more than 500W, you can find decent 650W PSU for not much

So, I have a STOCK Dell Optiplex 7010 the tower one (i'll attach a picture)

I am now finding the need to buy a GPU, specifically the RX 5500 XT

Now can I use this graphic card with the stock power supply?

I will upgrade the system's power supply but not now.

So can i run and use the RX 5500 XT without a power supply for like a month.

If i use this GPU without a PSU, then will it damage the GPU in anyway?

Or should i get the GTX 1060.....(and will 1060 work?)

There are tons of different 7010 versions out there, so without knowing the exact model nobody can know. Best is to open yours and check the PSU ratings and what cables are available.

Hmmm, the 7010MT might actually use a standard ATX PSU...

Take a pic of the PSU and we can tell you what the wattage is

You shouldn't be able to damage the GPU by installing it. But not sure what you mean "without PSU". If the GPU has power connectors, it likely won't boot without being powered.

You should know that even if this is a top spec 7010, it will only have, at best, a 4790K which is a pretty weak CPU

Open the panel and look at the PSU, wattage and cables, you need a PCie 8pin cable to power any decent GPU

Also has this thing a standard ATX mobo or some Dell Boardenstein monstrosity ?

That's a very old PC (13 years) and a mid range one at that. Before we really go any deeper into it (you're gonna need either a different GPU or a different PSU so we're talking about spending money), what are you planning on using this for?

normal gaming like no hesi (assetto corsa), fh4, ac origins, valo, spiderman miles morales, etc. and a bit of Ae

SO i can upgrade the PSU to a 500W one and what graphic card will be best under 115$ in the used market

Okay, those are games where you'll be in the neighborhood of "minimum requirements", but be aware that the min-reqs can mean that the game will run at 10FPS all settings low.
Looks like the best GPU would be the 1070ti but you'll have to snipe a deal and be wary of scams.
And 500W is a pretty skimpy PSU these days. Is this an old unit you have laying around or one you're buying new?

so at the plaace where i live, i can easily get a 5500 xt 8gb under 110-115$

and that is a pretty good gpu

and a 500w psu is easily available under 25$

You'll need to source an adapter as well because those things don't use standard PSU connectors on the mobo.

The OptiPlex unlikely uses a normal ATX PSU.

Pls post pics of your mobo where we can see how it's plugged to the PSU

If it ain't standard ATX 24pin you cannot upgrade the PSU to an ATX one

Ok, it really needs some cleaning but connectors looks like standard and you can upgrade the PSU !

Yeah its been a while since i cleaned it.

So if i upgrade the PSU and GPU to 500W and RX5500 XT 8gb, will it run fine or do i buy some other GPU. (will it cause any issues etc.)

TBH 275W is fine for that machine and a 5500XT but using adapters is kind of dicey if you don't have an 8pin I wouldn't bother.   Looked up the model on the PSU does at least appear to be ATX.

From everything I've seen online, this is one of the last models that Dell *didn't* use a proprietary PSU
