Hello! I just built my first computer, everything works great except of the GPU. Even though it spins the fans and the Nvidia driver installer identifies it, it won’t give any video signal. I even disabled IG but now I get no display at all.

CPU: Ryzen 7 7700X

GPU: GIGABYTE RTX 5070

EDIT: The second I posted this, it worked 😭

To get the integrated graphics back, remove the CMOS battery ( silver battery on the motherboard ) for 5 minutes.

Put it back in.

This will reset the BIOS and you will at least get your display back from the onboard graphics.

So when the display cable is plugged into the GPU it doesn't display but you get display when plugged into the motherboards display ports?

You'll need to reset the CMOS in order to get the iGPU working again.

Sweet!

Enjoy 🙂

I would still have the iGPU disabled as it can conflict with the Nvidia GPU in some games or programs.

I have had to disable the iGPU on both my 7700x and 9800X3D, I use an RTX 4080.

Hey! I am getting another issue that I didn't test yesterday. GPU works fine on windows but then I try to boot into the BIOS, I get no display. I know that I am in the BIOS because of the "boot" light on the motherboard. Motherboard: MSI X670e gaming plus wifi, CPU: Ryzen 7 7700x, GPU: Gigabye RTX 5070

I would try to update the BIOS through the BIOS Flashback method and go from there.

Did you also remove the CMOS so that you get the iGPU back or did you skip this yesterday?

I can't remove the CMOS battery, it takes WAY too much force to do it, I am scared to try using more force

Of course you can, its removable on all motherboards.

Did you flip the latch holding it in place?

It shouldn't require uncomfortable amount of force to do.
