BuildRedux is a very well known system integrator and they have pretty good prebuilts and customer support.

Thoughts on that PreBuilt?  I mean, its a 9800X3D and a 5080.. Its almost the fastest gaming PC in the world.

What is there to think about?

Yeah, though, could get similar PC, with 7800x3D+5080 and similar features, for ~2700$ pre-tax + 20-100$ for Windows/OS.

Only thing different would be aesthetics, and AirCooling instead of AIO, though for like ~30$ more you could bump it up to AIO anyway.

Still Buildredux might beat assembled PC, with the warranty and support.

Feel free: To ask any question, no matter what question it is, I will try to answer. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

current PC:

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti [further details on my profile]

PC configs I used before:

  1. Pentium G4500 | 4GB/8GB DDR4 2133Mhz | H110 | GTX 1050
  2. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz / OC:4Ghz | 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz / 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1050
  3. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz | 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti

Building a system on your own is always going to be better value.

How else are system integrators going to make money if they dont upcharge some?

That was not the question however. Many people definitely prefer paying more for the 'ready out of the box' experience.

But absolutely, build yourself when or if you can 🙂

Remember the good old days? Where they bought in bulk and had discount from manufacturer? And could charge almost comparable price to assembled PC but still had margins for profit? (or slightly above but could go on sale?)

Those were the days...

Just throwing the option out there, I personally love having multiple options even if I'm already set on one.

They still do. But they know people will pay more as a 'build fee' anyways so they just increase the price even more.

Profit baby.

Absolutely.

The PC before the one I have now was a 'custom' Pre-Built from Komplett.no

They let you change out a few components to tailor some systems to your liking. I think more people buy their Pre-Built than build themselves here in Norway.

I just didn't bother building one myself even though I absolutely know how 😄

Komplett is almost like our online only type MicroCenter.

Anyways, getting a bit off topic here.

Overall, great system 🙂  2 year warranty and they test everything before shipping.

Some bad reviews of BuildRedux on Reddit but you can find bad reviews or experiences with absolutely every company... People do like complaining.

BuildRedux has only been 'in the game' since 2022 but the parent company is DigitalStorm who has been in the Pre-Built market since 2002.

Its an American company and they are still very much in business, so they must be doing something right.

They have sponsored tons of content creators throughout the years as well, even LTT!

9800X3D is the fastest gaming CPU on the market and the 5080 is only beaten by the 5090 in terms of performance so its a top tier PC.

Looks like decent components for the other parts as well.
