So my dad went to the Apple store to complain about his iphone 5 and problems with Sprint's 3g. When he had his Nexus 5, 3g worked perfectly fine, however on the iphone, it operates as 2g. Maybe there are problems with the iphone's band's or lack of, but that's not the point. The point is what happened when my dad got over there and started telling the "Apple Genius" about his problems. First, I guess the guy started talking about how the iphone was the best phone, and I guess my dad assumed since he works there, fine, he's trying to sell a new Iphone to my dad. But then once my dad chimed in on the Sprint problem, the "genius" said that he has the exact same problem with Sprint, but that he happily lives with the problem because of the Iphone's other amazing features. Then I guess my dad criticized Apple for having this problem, and you won't believe what happened next. The "genius" actually got mad at my dad. Yup, he refused to talk to my dad and kept ignoring him, even when my dad asked for the manager. Eventually, the guy called the manager, but not because my dad asked him to, but to get the manager to kick my dad out of the store because he criticized Apple. My dad eventually left chuckling, but not before the manager got to hear the story, and lets just say the manager thankfully didn't have the same isheep attitude.

I'll ask my dad for what store it was, because I'd love for some of you guys to walk in with an Android and see what the guy says. My dad described the guy as a stereotypical Apple guy with a beard, and some glasses. I'm not trying to hate on Apple, and I realize that their are some people that would do the same for Android, but I just found this story quite entertaining and figured I'd share it with the world.

Finally my Santa hat doesn't look out of place

Cool, sounds like a problem with Sprint, not the iPhone. Why would you buy a phone and use it on a network that it isn't 100% compatible with? Go to a Sprint retailer next time. Lots of guessing, sounds super convoluted.

Apple Genius, oxymoron, they are fools who wrote learn basic trouble shooting and then take your iDevice out back to a real expert. They're so frustrating. Apple stores are frustrating. I went in to ask about how much it would cost to replace a shattered track pad. The response? "Book a genius appointment", why don't floor people know basic things? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Now I buy from resellers.

Sounds pretty accurate for your typical Apple fanbo...I mean "Genius."  Every time I go into the Apple store a part of me dies overhearing sales people talking...

-"It has the newest most powerful Intel Haswald chip" -Salesperson on the Macbook Air

-"Sure, you can do anything you want with your iTunes purchases" -Salesperson on iTunes

-"This is retina, it is better than full HD"

EDIT: Good on your Dad for not giving in.  The air in the Apple store is so full of smugness I am surprised he could breath.

I walked into an Apple store and (this is when the tower Mac Pro was on display) asked how many lanes the PCI-E controller supported, the Apple fangirl, erm, excuse me, genius, avoided my question and started telling me about the trash can Mac Pro.

On Sunday my dad and I were in an Apple store and he made the trash can joke, the genius next to us gave us a really dirty look but didn't kick us out.
