So most iMacs before 2013 with stock ssd's should be fine?

I see a couple iMacs with ssd that were added later , but some of the are Samsung 870 and I saw a Mac that even had windows on it .

I think the 2012 models had apples propertiery SATA SSD card, so really not great for reuse either.

But if its a generic SATA SSD it should work in a different system. But those iMacs seems like a bad deal for harvesting parts.

So guys, I want to upgrade the storage on my pc and get an extra 1tb ssd or more, and recently I saw some iMacs from 2010, 2014 and 1 or 2 other from that era being sold for 100-200 euros , and It looked like a good deal to get the ssd they come with + the nice screens , peripherals and all other stuff they come with . But I was wondering if it is even possible to take an iMac ssd , format it completely and use it as an extra drive on my pc for games/pictures/documents. Is that possible ?

What exact model of iMac?

Apple has never used standard M.2 ssds(to my knowledge). You can get adapters, but there generally for USB and pretty rare. The newer models use nand only cards that can't really be adapter at all.

It ranges , there are a lot of different models , from mid 2011 27" iMacs to 2017 iMacs, I would like to know if imac ssd's can even be used with windows , and if so, which iMacs have those ssd's(SATA ssd's are also good for what I want them to do)

Sata SSDs should be fine, but unless they were upgraded later on, it was very rare to see a iMac with a Sata SSD upgrade from Apple in my experience.

I'd say anything past about 2013 with a stock SSD had a Apple proprietary ssd that will be unlikely to be easily usable.

A 10 to 15 year old lcd is not really going to be great. Same as a 10 to 15 year old ssd. (also it's a very good chance that the 2010 mac is hdd based, not ssd unless it was upgraded at some point.
