Does anyone know a way to search in a channel for uploads? I mean look for any files uploaded by people. When I tried "has: embeded" it just loads anything including gifs and so on, I want to look for attached files.

There is no distinction between files that are embedable and files that arent. Best you can do is search for extensions.
