I was looking to use this portable DAC: https://www.audioquest.com/products/dragonfly-cobalt with my PS5 controller (with the DAC/dongle being the middleman) and my Ipod classic (6th generation). Neither of these as I'm guessing, dont provide enough juice to power the Dragonfly. So Im reaching out to ask, what do I need to get to provide the Dragonfly with enough power? Preferably something pocketable/something not too much bigger than the Dragonfly itself.

I think the issue is that 3.5 TRRS to USB A adapter. I don't think that is supported on those devices(or most devices) so thats your problem there. I'd just plug your headphones into the 3.5 jack on the devices.

You're trying to go analogue to digital back to analogue.  Just plug your headphones into the controller.  I don't know why anyone would make an adapter like that because I don't think it has any function at all.  Now if the dragonfly will work off the PS5 then plug it into the dragonfly

Audio go Brrrrrr

The only problem there is that if I'm playing a team based game with online friends, which I do from time to time, I cant use the mic on my headset.

Now that I know that, thats why I'm asking for suggestions for something that'll work. The whole reason I got the DAC (in the case of my ipod) was to take full advantage of my FLAC music and in the case of connecting to PS5 controller, get all the potential out of my gaming headphones, which Im assuming a PS5 controller by itself cant do.

Those devices aren't designed to be used that way. Those ports are for only analogue audio output. You need a device that will work with that dac to use it.
