CPU Cooler

I am looking for a cpu cooler for a 2011-3 narrow. Has to fit in a 2u case.

I have been looking but cant seem to find any good. I have a passive now, want 1 with 1 fan atleast.

i am trying to make the server quieter and at the same time not get to hot. 
I have currently replaced the 3 stock fans for noctua fans.

you can just get a fan, and point or somehow make it so it cools the passive cooler, before you buy a fan you probably should figure out how you'd mount it.

So you are making a rack mount silent?

 

Keep in mind that a rack server RELIES on those jet fans to keep everything properly cooled and 3 small noctuas have maybe the power of a single one if even that. So be very wary about temps.

 

As for the heatsink other than strapping some fans to it yourself as @podkall said not much to do. If that doesnt cool well enough nothing really will except for the original fans.

Yea ikr, the plan is to just use cable ties and put a 60mm fan on the cooler. I am also going to build my own rack, I am thinking of having 2-3 120mm or 140mm fan blowing directly at the server to. So maybe them can provide fresh air through the hdds. I have a 12 hdd bay rack mountable chassi.

You will probably want 35-38mm thick fans, consumer stuff wont be strong enough for what you want to do.
