A comfy mouse is important but i wouldnt go all out. Razer is a bit of a risk as many people have problems with their products but hey its up to you. Whats your budget and i can give you some popular choices

I had a look at a steel series rival, what do you think?

It is a good mouse, it is meant for fairly big hands though.

Very true find an old mouse around the house and measure the dimensions then compare it to the rivals

SIZE & WEIGHT

- Weight: 128 grams (0.28 lbs)

- Height: 45 mm (1.8 in)

- Width: 70 mm (2.76 in)

- Length: 133 mm (5.23 in)

also mice ergonomics are built around the way you hold your mice (palm, claw, finger). The rival I think looks like a palm grip.

Happy shopping

A good responsive gaming mouse with a high dpi definitely helps, especially in shooters. I love my Corsair M65.

I am using a razer mouse (imperator) and i am not very happy, at least for the price i paid. I really like the new 502 Proteus from logitech and i also like the func MS-3. Haven't tried any of those but they seem very comfortable. i think both of them have "the sniper button" so that might be useful for you.

loving my new g400s. imo if you have a crappy mouse then you might see an improvement to your aim. if you are using a somewhat decent mouse, then maybe the extra features of a gaming mouse might help you especially extra buttons.

I'd suggest either the razer death adder for solid performance or the Mionix naos 3200. The Naos is ludicrously comfortable to hold. They are both good and rather inexpensive.

My Rig "Corsair air 540, MSI Z87-G45, i5 4670k, EVGA ACX 780, Gskill sniper 2x8gb 1866 memory, Corsair CX500m modular 80+ bronze, corsiar h100i, toshiba 1.5tb HDD." / Peripherals "Acer H226HQLbid Black 21.5" (Main monitor), Acer S200HLAbd Black 20" (auxiliary), Razer blackwidow ultimate 2013, razer naga 2013, razer goliathus 444x355 speed edition, Sennheiser HD8 DJs"

I use a logitech g100s, its cheap comfortable and relible. Honestly a mouse won't help you a lot it mostly skill. For example I have a low end mouse and come top of the list almost every time on bf3 and I'm sure a lot of the people that I face have nice mice.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.
