Need an Ssd or Hardriveor Both

Guys i am in a bit of trouble.

I have recently been recording and playing games on the same harddrive so i was getting lags(which was foolish of me )

then i used my external harddrive in sata and still had my recordings laggy as of 30 mbps write speed.

Now i ma both out of storage and performance.

Thus i was considering an harddrive and /or ssd for my games and recording.

So pls suggest me what to do.

give me options on reliability and performance.

What are your specs?

MB: intel DH61ww

Harddrive : seagate baracuda 7200 rpm 1 tb

External harddrive : Seagate backup plus

Wont its lifespan decrease if we use it for a lot of GBs of work??

if you sit there transferring say 50gb of movies or something to the ssd and back to the hard drive multiple times, yes it will decrease.

is there any difference between this and what should i get for an harddrive
