Hi everyone, first time poster so apologies if posting in the wrong place, also mandatory "sorry for the grammar" as I'm not a native speaker.

I'd like some help choosing my first ever thermal paste specifically for a  rtx 3060 from gigabyte.

Basically one of thing's fans started to make an extremely annoying "clinking" type sound and me in my infinite wisdom decided to open the card up to try and find the issue, after some tinkering I got it "fixed" it now whines instead of seeming to be falling apart. I still don't know what the issue was and it will probably return so if you got any ideas that would also be appreciated.

My immediate issue now is that I, in my aforementioned wisdom, forgot that GPUs also use thermal paste and after I open it up I should repaste it, and now it overheats and shuts down even with the fans running at 100% (can you tell I'm not much of a fixer?). Ivm now going to repaste it but I'm unsure of what to get I have a limited selection available and was hoping you guys could point me to the right one so I don't fuck up even more.

I have access to:

- Noctua NT H1 and H2

- Arctic Mx4 and MX6

- Thermal Grizzly Aeronaut, Hydronaut and Kryonaut

- Nox TG1, TG10 and hummer 880

- Corsair XTM 50 and TM30

There are some others but either not available right now or kinda sketchy.

Another thing, do I need an applicator? Also what else besides the die should I put paste on?

Thank you for any input ^^

Personally I've had the best luck out of Kryonaut. Big fan of Noctua coolers, not had so much luck out of their paste, I mean it works, but not as good as Kryonaut (In my experience, and tests).

As for the applicator, I'd say no. I know the Kryonaut packages I buy come with an applicator, but it's not great in my opinion. I still prefer a credit card as a spreader, it's just what I've always used, and what I'm used to.

Kryonaut has been the best for me, but I will be honest, I stopped keeping up with TIIM's a solid while ago. A few C here or there just isn't worth me worrying about anymore. But when I buy more for new builds/parts swaps, I buy Kryonaut.
