Hello there i'm thinking about going audiophile, but i don't know if i should? i was thinking of buying the Beyerdynamic DT-770 pro 80 ohm, but then i heard about the Sennheiser G4me ZERO and they look very appealing to me.

so should i take the Sennheiser ones or the audiopihle ones. or even better if you could recommend any good headphones, which is good for gaming

I'm located in Denmark so you know;-)

Please reply thank you

The Sennheiser G4me ZERO is basically an HD380 Pro with a fancy paint job and a mic slapped on. Do the math and see for yourself if you're willing to pay for the mic.

I use the DT990 Pros and they are amazing headphones, but i guess you want closed back headphones (i just assume that). If you NEED the convenience of having a mic on your headphones then the Game zero won't be a bad choice but, for me, it's not worth it. HD598 is  great option if you choose "open back" with a great soundstage. DT990 and HD598 need an amp though...  If you want some open back with great comfortability and no need for an amp, i can suggest you the Sony ma900.
I found them at a RIDICULOUS price here: http://www.amazon.de/Sony-MDRMA900-HiFi-High-Kopfh%C3%B6rer-Klinkenstecker/dp/B007I1QXX2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401635770&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+ma900
These are 300euros headphones. I bet they sound better than DT770 but with a bit thinner bass.

i had the DT 770 pro 80 ohm's

i did not like them at all.

if you don't want to buy a amp get the 32 ohm DT 770 pros

i actually like my Audio Technica ATH m50's better

but every one likes different ear phones

i am going to buy tomorrow the HD8 DJ's

there expensive but if i don't like them i guess i will return them

and i was also looking at the Game Zero's as well

but decided to get a audiophile new head set instead

Except, like, not.

I actually heard that they will benefit a lot from an amp. I haven't tried them myself though. Some say that the 558 will sound better than the 598 without an amp, and if you want to get the most out of the HD598 you will need an amp. I have no idea if this is correct because the specs tell me that they don't need an amp :\

They use the exact same driver.

It's not THAT expensive. You can probably even get away with 650 with onboard if your onboard is a rockstar. If not a cheap solution will still work, sub $100. I know you live in Denmark, but I don't know about Denmark prices. You can get a 650 for what, $350? +100 amp and worst case scenario is $450. Not THAT expensive IMO. You may disagree.

He is 13 years old. There is no need to buy more than 200$ headphones. I was trying to save money for almost a year to finally get a pair of HD600. Sony MDRMA 900 for less than 130euros is a steal for the price. He won't need an amp either.
