Hello,

First time poster here. I hope this is the right place to post this. I recently just completed my first PC build since the 90's. I used to build back then. I couldn't find a post that was similar to my issue.  My onboard GPU temperature remains at 650 degrees Celsius (1200 Fahrenheit) at idle or under a load, and I can't figure out the issue. I have updated the BIOS and the chipset drivers and still the onboard GPU is staying at 650C (1200F). I'll list what I have below. I have another GPU that is installed as well. That GPU remains around 86 degrees Fahrenheit at idle and doesn't go over 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 WIFI AMD chipset

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800x3d

RAM: Kingston Fury 16x2

Cooler: Corsair Nautilus 240 ARGB

Power Supply: Corsair RM1000e

Fans: 8 case fans. 5 intake and 3 exhaust (I know bit overkill. The case came with 6 fans and the cooler came with 2)

2nd GPU: PNY GeForce RTX 4070 super

SSD: Samsung 990 PRO

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Well, 650c is impossible so we know that is completely wrong.

You have two GPU's installed?

If it's really 650c your house woulda burned down that's for sure.

Mind telling us what did you use to check temp ?

3 Programs. And you have very valid point. MSI Afterburner, MSI Center, and NZXT Cam. They all say the same thing. I only have 1 GPU installed. That's the RTX 4070 super. The other is the onboard GPU that is part of the motherboard. I'm just wondering if maybe I got some wires wired incorrectly. I tried swapping motherboards, and the same thing still happens. It did solve 1 problem that I didn't post but the fore mentioned issue still is a thing.

Thanks for the reply's.

It's not common in consumer series motherboards anymore to have onboard graphics. The problem would persist across motherboard because the graphics processor is now built into the CPU. Your motherboard specifications outline this:

Quote

*Available only on processors featuring integrated graphics. Graphics specifications may vary depending on the CPU installed.

It's called Integrated Graphics or iGPU which means your iGPU temps are probably equal or close to your CPU temps just because of their proximity.

In any case. That software is reading the sensor wrong. AMD probably wants you reading it using something else but I wouldn't worry about it. It's all underneath your CPU cooler.
