More RAM would just allow you to have more programs running smoothly while gaming.

ram dosent effect loading times its up to the drive its installed on eg if it was on a ssd it would be faster

No tangible performance will be felt as increased RAM neither helps in lowering loading times or increasing FPS. Larger than 8GB RAM is only useful in games which require a lot of textures and mods. Although, you can use your extra RAM as a RAMDISK and use it decrease loading times at the cost of longer startup and shut down time.
