Hello, I'm a programmer that is currently looking for an ultrabook that is really lightweight and powerful enough for me to run most programs. I don't know how much should this be taking into consideration, but I'll be working with game and web design (I don't really care about gaming on my laptop however). Obviously, I do need something that can run windows, so I do not think that macbooks are an option (I haven't had much experience with macs, so I don't know if dual-booting into windows would have the full functionality of a windows laptop). I'm not looking to buy the thing immediately, so you can assume that my budget does not really matter. I'll most likely buy the device whenever I see a good special. I'm currently considering Lenovo's T440s, Yoga Pro 2 and X1 Carbon (I'm a Lenovo fanboy, but I head that the quality has gone down over the years), as well as the Acer Aspire S7. Man, kinda wish there was an ultrabook that can overall beat apple in terms of pricing, looks, and specs.

you like lenovo but u arent consider the yoga pro 2? I dont know basically anything about web design but id assume the extra screen real estate from the 3200x1800 screen would come in handy.

or

the samsung ativ book 9 Plus which also has a 3200x1800 res screen.

._.

I already had a few ultrabooks in mind. I was wondering what were other people's opinions since gathering data makes for a smarter buy.

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to put the Yoga 2 Pro in my list. Having the tablet mode seems very interesting.

if you will be programming, you will want a great keyboard. the thinkpads have great keyboards (the thin ones aren't as good, but still better than average)

I was wondering, would the Thinkpad Yoga be a better option than the Yoga Pro 2 when it comes to software development?
