So gaming laptops ...

I was about to buy the Lenovo Y50 when I came across the Asus G550JK. The G550JK does not have ac technology (bummer, right), seems all aluminium, the red is not that good but still... Anyway, what are your thoughts, guys? Durability and sturdiness is important for me.

Considered:
Razer: overpriced, non-upgradable RAM
MSI, Gigabyte - ugly.

I don't have a budget really but I don't like spending to much for things that are not worth it :)

Lenovo looks like it has superior keyboard and Asus one is not actually gaming it's just multimedia  :P

I personally really like the N550JK. And you can always put in your own AC card for like $20-30.

 

Edit: Those Lenovos actually look really nice too. The 860M might be worth the extra $50 more but I like the look of the Asus more. IKind of tired of red/black.

I moved to US a week ago :) XMG - don't really like either.

Broke, I have the same opinion, tired of red/black but a grey keyboard is just .. why? :D I don't like non-black keyboards. I will be using another keyboard anyway so won't be using it that much.

Both the Y50 and G550 have a very annoying tone of red too (at least from the videos and pictures I've seen). Y50 looks way too childish, the red line all around the G550 is also pretty ugly but there is nothing a sharpie can't fix :D

Does anyone own a N550? How sturdy is it? People say it is all aluminium but it looks a little cheap to me..

The 850M is just as fast as the SLI 755m last year's Lenovo gaming laptops had and don't have the sli issues.
