URGENT HELP NEEDED

Go to solution Solved by TetraSky,

to add to what Mariushm said... Before doing all that, test you main power socket to see if there's even power coming from the electrical panel to this plug. It's possible there was too big a load on circuit and the protection tripped (like, if this circuit is shared with other plugs and someone plugged a air dryer or heater or something that consumes a lot of watts)

Plug a lamp or something in the same socket the PC was plugged in and see if it works.
If it does, problem is likely the computer's PSU. If it does not, check your electrical panel for a tripped switch.

I7 4790, rx 580 8GB sapphire, 600W PSU, 500gb HDD, 16gb of ram

Edit: motherboard is an old intel one with very few customisable things

So it does not react at all when pressing power button?

Perhaps try with each RAM stick only in each RAM slot.

Though if it's black there is no feedback from motherboard, beeps or leds?

Yep, nothing, you mean to test if all RAM works in each slot?

No point of RAM sticks test then I think.

PSU or motherboard are my guesses. But if you don't have spare parts, then perhaps some local repair shop could help?

But I'm no expert on hardware failure pinpointing.

Unplug it from mains, wait 5-10 seconds, plug it back.  If there's some led lit on the motherboard, that means the power supply gives 5v stand-by voltage.

If the computer doesn't start, the power supply died. You can double check it's not the motherboard or the video card by disconnecting all cables from components, and using a small wire or a paperclip to force the power supply to turn on by connecting two pins in the 24 pin connector together.  See https://www.lifewire.com/atx-24-pin-12v-power-supply-pinout-2624578 - connect a wire between the PS-ON pin and any GND pin and the power supply should start and fan should work. If it doesn't, your power supply is dead.
