Deciding to build a pc and this is what I currently have for a idea, looking for 1080p and 1440p and future proofing aswell. I'm waiting for the 9800x3d to go down in price since the price at the moment is ridiculous and thinking about either buying 4070 super or might wait for new graphics cards to be released but waiting to see price of 5070ti and the performance. Be looking at cheaper motherboards but when I put them in it comes up with a compatability issue. The extra fan is for the exhaust as the case doesn't come with one.

any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

That "issue" is potentially outdated BIOS, and nothing else, because old motherboards came out before 9000 series Ryzen.

if you don't feel like waiting you can buy 7800x3D since it's price is more reasonable, though not entirely, used to cost below 400$

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/THcDZc

  • Faster RAM for same price
  • Good range of motherboards that at best only need BIOS update to support 9000x3D
  • Better NVME but not expensive
  • Could recommend cases, though Fractal works

Was thinking about that but surely if you update the bios yourself would it be fine?

And was also thinking about the 7800x3d but just to future proofing it a bit more was to spend the extra money on the 9800x3d just depends on how long it takes for the price to drop as they said they are getting more supply ready, what do you think about graphics card though would you wait for the new ones or buy the 40 series?

9800X3D is overpriced right now - should be <£500.... if you need to buy now, then 7800X3D has just started to drop to semi-reasonable prices, but still about £150 more than it was 4 months ago.

Couple of small adjustments... only thing you miss out on here is WiFi:

Of course, you just need an USB stick with the BIOS version from official website, and follow the website's guide with the file.

The 5070Ti, not sure how much it turns out price wise personally, it's hard to guess sometimes.
