is 180 watts enough

So I just got a GPU in my optiplex 5050 a nvidia t400

so the t400 is a 30 watt card the cpu a i5 6500 is around 65 watts.

Is the 180 watt psu enough.

Supposedly it is max 30W card

From Techpowerup specs page 200W PSU is recommended, but I guess your CPU isn't a powerhouse, so it should do.

 

If you had a Watt meter you'd be able to tell how much the system consumes.

It's consuming 80ish watts (yes I do have a killawattmeter)

Entire PC from the wall. Or do you guys total from hwinfo or internal watts pulled from it internally idk what I do with Wattage

if its pulling 80 watts with a 180w PSU you have some room left over.

Of course you don't want to max out the wattage but you are not even halfway to the limit.

Thanks I was just wondering because I was adding stuff up in my head and went oh that might push it too far but good to know I don't need to replace it with the 240watt version.

Totally fine. I put GTX 1650 D6 LP in HP OEMs with 180w PSUs and works flawless.
