Hello everyone.
Wanted to update my BIOS, since my b650 aorus elite ax has BIOS ver. FA1, latest is FB3g, which is 8 updates forward. I have a 7600x if that matters.
Here's the thing, my apartment has very finnicky electrical work. Sometimes, for no reason, my room's breaker would flip, just mine.
Obviously, don't want that to happen during a BIOS update, and while I do plan on buying a UPS, probably around new year, I do not have one at the momment.
Now my motherboard does have q-flash, a hardware bios update method.

What should I do? Wait for the UPS, or just do it via flash?

If buying a UPS is already planned, me, I'd just wait until after I buy the UPS.

Unless I really really need the BIOS update like right the f now.

also has the espi header aswell but i have zero clue how youd interface with it since its both the lpc and spi combined so you can get postcodes out of it but also flash the bios chip aswell

q flash should just work even if you nuke your bios since it can be used without the cpu so if you manage to get a really old stock and it doesnt support your cpu then you can still bios update

if q flash fails then theres the espi header and if that too somehow fails theres always the fail proof method of desoldering the bios chip itself then programming it directly
