Better CPU for that price range (gotta stop going "its 14th gen so its clearly better than 12th gen" and if you think newer=better I'm srr but you need to read up a bit)

Cooling you can choose either the 1 I used or the previous since its the same essentially but the one I used doesnt have a potential need for a seperate mounting

Why did you spend so much on a 1tb ssd when you wont spend like 2k on the pc?? the mp44l is more than enough for you in this budget

I suggest going with the case and Mobo I used cause its a better mobo with better VRMs, the case still has argb and comes with more fans and it fits the mobo

With the money saved I also could fit a bigger PSU (which is still plenty good for your budget) that gives you headroom for future upgrades

Also if you dont want raytracing and just more performance use an rx 7800xt instead of a 4070

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy

Are you sure? Some people upgrade CPUs instead of entire platforms, especially those with lower budgets.

I'd suggest 7800 XT, which is at similar pricepoint of 4070, and same raster performance = no DLSS/FSR/RT

it's got 16GB VRAM instead of 12GB, and higher synthetic memory bandwidth.

Personally I'd suggest 2TB, Fortnite, Cyberpunk, GTA 6, and you're already closing in ~500GB of space taken already

wasnt really considering more space (really should have cause i forgot how big those games are) but i stick by what i said that its too much money for that budget for a 1tb ssd even tho for a 2tb itd be fine but if we were too stick to a 1tb for budget reason I'd still say to get the mp44l although the sn580 isnt bad either

1TB is great, and not necessary to be crazy fast to spend more, but between spending on faster and bigger, bigger wins most of the time

Sure 100% ? no

Sure 99% ? yes

OP has 1000$ budget, we are in budget territory,

most budget ballers buy new platform, and then upgrade within that platform,

for example, I got 3 1200 Ryzen, now I have 5600, I didn't need to swap motherboard.

cant disagree in any aspect

Thats why I said under the condition of the budget restriction a 1tb is better

So ? a 5600 wouldn't be a problem for a cheap mobo with low end VRMs, I bet even a 5900 would run alright enough on the mobo.

You're not being fair. 5900 was extreme and unlikely proposal, far from your 5600.

I've read reviews of low end motherboards who could run high end cpus alright enough (not 100% but good real life use).

That's what I understood, I might be wrong but I don't think so. I've just checked the mobo page, it supports i9s.

Not all "low end" motherboard support "high end" CPUs.

I'm not sure if you've lived under a rock for last few years, but Intel has so much power draw on their high end CPUs, it cooks them, and you're suggesting budget boards for Intel platform...

We must have been understanding each other wrong.

I only suggested he was better off with his original intended mobo with Wifi than the one suggested with better VRMs.

That's all,

Sure, it depends if they even need Wifi in the first place.

The 2 other MB in my selection actually have wifi:

MSI PRO B760M-A WIFI DDR4

MSI PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4
