Are they any good im looking at this one is it any good?

I dont like them. They usually rebrand cheap trash. Id go for an XFX PSU, Antec, Seasonic or Corsair probably. Corsair at the bottom of the list though.

Yo whats up.

The AX750 is part of the older (but by no means old.) AX series. It's a very good unit. As long as the refurbished one there hasn't been abused or toyed around with internally it should be fine. 90day warranty should be enough to tell if it works or if it's been messed with.

The first unit you linked is the ThermalTake Smart 750W 80Plus Bronze (SP-750P). There's also a Smart M 750W, which is semi-modular. Different PSUs. Reviews are better than opinions on the brand.

This is the only non-modular unit I can think of with flat/ribbon cables. Capxon secondaries, not great. 5 year warranty is good (if the unit you linked is still covered). It's missing a few things that would be nice, like being able to deliver full power at 50C. But at least it can deliver the full 750W continuously. It's a decent mainstream unit.

$10 more for the AX750 is worth it in my opinion. But if you want to save $10 you should be fine.

Not a bad unit, but not the best you could get for your money. Except when it's going for $70 from NCIX with a promotion. That's not bad. For $85 you can get the Seasonic G Series 750W. The Corsair CX750M is $78. A bunch of others were way more expensive. This is just from searching pcpartpicker. If it was $80 without the promotion, I would recommend getting the G Series 750W for $5 more.

Oh hang on, that's the Bronze unit, not the 80Plus Gold one (NEX750G). It isn't terrible, but for $15 more I would choose the G Series 750W. I would probably take the CX750M for $8 more as an alternative. $70 for the NEX750B you linked is not that special.

Someone told me that the Cx was a bad PSU something about cheap connectors? So a gold rated 750w? I think that is a bit over budget and i dont see a advantage for 2 gtx 780 ti sli.

You're going to SLI 2 780Ti's, but $85 for the G Series 750W is outside of your budget?

The CX750M is a decent budget unit. You get what you pay for, and in this case it's chinese capxon secondary capacitors. The G Series (I've typed this too many times, it's starting to remind me of The A Team) has higher quality components, including better quality capacitors.

Looking at your signature, you're planning on overclocking a 4770k with 780Ti SLI aren't you? I'm wondering if 750W is cutting it too close.

The CX750M is a decent budget unit. The G Series 750W is an example of a better unit, but it's more expensive.

The NEX750B is back on the table if you're on a budget.

Other units I could recommend are more expensive on PCPartPicker, so I don't know what else to suggest.
