(I am Belgian, mind my not so perfect english).

hello, I honnestly don't know if this is the right subreddit but here it is. I built my computer 3 days ago and today i encountered some lags in game. so i went and checked and there it was, antimalware Service executable was taking 40% of my cpu. I need help, i really don't know what to do and it becoming unplayable. The things took up to 55% CPu usage and I've seen it rise to about 4Gb ram usage. All my disks are either brand new or formatted (I don't know if we say it like that but basically put on factory settings). I Did a full scan, nothing appears. I have all my updates done. I did try to put down my firewall, nothing changed. I did try to stop real time scanning for windows defender, nothing changed. I am really stuck here

I don't know if it will help, but here's my pc build :

Ryzen 5 7600
B650 eagle gigabyte
32gb ddr5 crucial pro
1tb Samsung 990 pro
1tb crucial SATA bx500
Rx 570 8gb (will change it soon)
750w gigabyte 80+gold

Does the problem reappear after a restart?

If it's just a one time thing, it might just be Windows having a moment of confusion, if it's returning, there's something wrong.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end, also I like to edit my posts a lot.

No it's not a one time thing. It is a fresh install of Windows and it's appearing everytime I open my pc. It is even laggy on my desk. Not only in game.

Yes it reappears after every start. It is not a one time thing and it is even laggy while on my desk. It is a fresh install
