why does everyone hate watch dogs?

It game is solid and fun. I haven't experienced any crashes like everyone is saying and it run at over 30fps on my single 7950

Current: CPU: Intel i7-8700k. Mobo: Gigabyte - Z370 AORUS Gaming 5. RAM: 16gb G Skill Trident Z RGB. GPU: EVGA RTX 2070 Super.

 

First: CPU: AMD FX-8350 @4.5GHz. Mobo: Asus ROG crosshair V formula-Z. RAM: 8GB Patriot Viper XTreme. GPU: Asus Radeon 7950.

Maybe the major hype led people to believe it is better than it really is. I haven't played it myself, however from watching a Lets Play, it doesn't seem to bad.

nothing ever lives up to the hype and lets not forget the hype of watch dogs didnt even come close to the hype of gta 5, which was incredibly lacking at first

For me 60 is pretty much the lowest I want to play with

well for anyone with something better then a 7950 (which isnt hard to get) that's not too hard

Maybe it didn't live up to the Hype, but for me, It's a great game: I don't feel like it's a straight rip of GTA, and I havent even had any Issues with Uplay Either.

Most of the people reviewing the game badly on steam have clocked up hours of gameplay already, and you don't play a game for 10 Hours if you hate it.

At the end of the day, even if the press is mostly negative at this point, Ubisoft will have made a heck of a lot of money, which is what they need at the moment to be honest

1. 30fps is not fantastic

2. The game doesnt look good enough to be 30fps.

Probably because a lot of people (including me) cannot run it good at comfortable settings with really good rigs. It's terribly optimized and shows what Ubisoft thinks about PC gamers in general. The game just doesn't look that great to be this demanding as well. I've seen games that came out years ago that look just as good if not better. Overall, just a disappointing port.
