LTT BFCM - Floatplane Early Access

It seems that the BFCM site needed to be more clear what channel needs to be subscribed to. Clicking the link on the BFCM site just takes you to https://www.floatplane.com/discover. I was also signed in to my FP account before clicking the link and it took me to the same landing page, so I just picked a creator.

Hey, and welcome to the forum.

In that case, @LMGcommunity Can you look into this? If this is true then LMG need to issue a clarification and apology, I've seen you drop sponsors for misleading people.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Synced with the CW team and confirmed that early access deals are available to ALL LTT Floatplane Subscribers, not just the Supporter Plus tier. The "You must be subscribed to the LTT Supporter Plus tier" message was an error message that was not updated, and we're working on getting it updated right now (It is not actually enforced during checkout, though!).

They are also updating all messaging on the website to be more clearly detail "LTT Floatplane Subscribers" as we understand the confusion there. We've also updated any links from the email and social to redirect to the LTT FP page instead.

If you've subscribed to another creator in hopes of receiving LTT Early Access, please let Floatplane support know and we'll refund you for this subscription

Trying to understand this early access feature. It just says that "FLOATPLANE SUBSCRIBERS GET EARLY ACCESS ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25TH". Whats not clear, does subscribing to any channel consider you access? I subscribed to a channel, but when I tried to access the LTTStore site it seems to indicate that I needed to be subscribed to the LTT channel on FP. While Ill still be checking out that channel, I did subscribe because of the BFCM early access.

Think of Floatplane like patreon

When a creator says "Subscrobe on patreon for X benefit" we all know that they mean subscribe to THEIR patreon. Floatplane is the same, you need to subscribe to the creator themselves, not just any of the available creators.

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!

How would I confirm I am logged in through Floatplane? As I clicked through to login through Floatplane on LTT Store, was redirected to the Floatplane to login, then directed back to LTT Store where it prompted me to login with my normal email (my usual LTT Store account) and a login code. There is no visual indicator that I can see which shows the accounts are linked on either site, unless I'm missing it which is completely possible. Please let me know if I linked the accounts correctly, or if I am missing a step somewhere. Much appreciated! 🙂

Disregard above, I was able to confirm once the sales went live. Although it would be a great addition to have a Floatplane badge/indicator on linked accounts somewhere in the profile page before the sales.

That was not clear, at all.

The email only says "subscribe to Floatplane".  Clicking the link in the email goes to the https://www.floatplane.com/discover.  It doesn't go to the LTT Floatplane.

After subscribing to one of the other channels and trying to log-in via Floatplane on LTTStore, it displays the text:

"You must be subscribed to the LTT Supporter Plus plan to login into LTTStore.com."

So not only are the other Floatplane creators not applicable, but even the base level of LTT Floatplane is not applicable.

Not saying they're wrong to have this requirement.  Am saying that they didn't begin to describe this requirement.

Thanks for following up on this. I did sign up for another creator to try and get access to the early access. I appreciate this getting the attention it needed and updated the messaging, even if it was late. Thanks for also providing a path for a refund, but Ill keep my subscription for a month to check out the creator I subscribed to.
