Hello. Is there any way I could rent out my computer's extra specs (CPU, RAM, HDD)? Also, it would be helpful if I could turn that off, for when I need extra power, maybe like Blender. But if that isn't available, that's fine too. Thanks!

You need to be very careful when considering this.  There are sites for this, but you need to make sure they're unintrusive and safe, as you're opening your machine up for others to use.    Worst case, they have potential access to your connected devices as well thru your wifi.

I used to use NiceHash for mining years ago, people do Folding at Home, etc.  These are set places with set goals and protections in place.

Don't just look at renting your machine out like a car.  Where anyone can use it for whatever they need.

There's no way to meaningfully monetize your computer at home, no.

GPU crypto mining hasn't really been worth it for a long time, and even then you're just being subsidized by whoever pays for your electricity.

Distributed compute platforms like Folding@Home are volunteer-driven, you're not getting paid for your contributions in anything except points (and bragging rights).

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

More like you're subsidizing the company that provides your electricity, these days.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
