i decided it's time for a CPU upgrade cause i have a 12400F that is begging for help because of the things i am going it through

i am a not so professional video editor but i do use DaVinci and it's crazy laggy

i play Minecraft Java edition, halo infinite and Hogwarts legacy, here is what i planned to build:

CPU: Ryzen 9 7950X (i decided to pick this one since the 7800X3D is too expensive and the 9800X3D can only be a dream for me, this one also have great productivity performance which is something i quite need)

Motherboard: GIGABYTE X670 Gaming X AX V2 (this one i picked because it was 199$ and it has all of the features i need and it was pretty good on the HU review)

Memory: G skill trident Z5 Neo (NO RGB) 32GB 6000MT/s CL30 (it was within my budget and it's AMD expo compatible)

for PSU, case and cooling (and GPU) what i have now is good enough for like a year or two, my 3070TI is showing it's age

this comes out at around 4000 Israeli shekels (i live in Israel) which is just around my budget, let me know what do you think

Yeah pretty good, 7950X rulez in productivity 🙂

You could get 2x32GB if you're doing RAM intensive stuff, and if you're a gamer you could get a 7950X3D, best of both worlds

(told you what I did!)

AMD R9  7950X3D CPU/ Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E board/ 2x32GB G-Skill Trident Z Neo 6000CL30 RAM ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition GPU/ Phanteks P600S case /  Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB cooler/  2TB WD SN850 NVme + 2TB Crucial T500  NVme  + 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD / Corsair RM850x PSU/ Alienware AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 3440x1440p monitor / ASUS ROG AZOTH keyboard/ Logitech G PRO X Superlight mouse / Audeze Maxwell headphones

as @jaslion mentioned a cheaper board would have sufficed, only notable thing about this board is the wifi and thats about it cause comparing it to the b650m hdv the only real diff is the 3rd nvme and the wifi capabilities both of which you can get in a cheaper board and the hdv also has x4 link straight from the cpu for the 2nd pcie x16 slot if you wanna run dual gpus where the gaming x only has lanes from the chipset so yeah itd lose out to the b650 livemixer (tons of usb, 16x 4x cpu on first two pcie x16 slots, also has 3 nvme slots)
