which Password Manager does LTT use?

Hi,
I'm torn between Bitwarden and 1Password as my starting point. I know 1Password sponsors WAN shows often, but I'm curious if they use 1Password internally themselves?

Both services offer what we need, but I think Luke mentioned in the past that 1Password has a better phone app and UI (though I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly).

Before anyone suggests self-hosting our own password manager, we don't want to pursue that option as everyone's plate is already full, and self-hosting would be an additional responsibility.

I'm asking before signing up for a trial to save myself some headache, as there are many options out there and it would make a great starting point.

I use a combination of Bitwarden and Proton Pass myself.

Personally, I use Proton Pass. I really like what Proton stands for, and their focus on privacy is a plus to me. That said, there’s always a risk when not storing data on servers you controll which is a benefit to something like Bitwarden. Still, I find it super easy to use, and their free tier is great if you’re looking to save some money. Since I use the proton suite, I have the paid version but I used free proton pass for a solid 6 months before upgrading.

 

I think something like 1Password has some advantages over proton pass, a friend of mine uses it to store their SSH keys for instance, but overall I'm happy with proton. If you're looking for extgra security and happy to maintain something, then bitwarden is probably your best bet.
