Signs of artefacting.

 

Is your GPU running hot?
Is it overclocked?
Try to reduce the game settings slightly if it only occurs in EFT. Different games have different levels of optimisation and some are just optimised badly.

If those steps don't help, last resort before calling it a hardware failure would be to replace the HDMI/DP cable.
I've had some strange distorted lines appear on my screen randomly for less than a second at a time, feared it's a GPU failure and replacing the cable resolved the problem.
