I think this might be EA's move to get some MLG action. From the trailer, the game doesn't look 'Frostbite 3ish'. It looks like it will run 'lighter' than BF4. If the netcode is good for this game I think it could be a possibility to see some eSports tournaments for the Battlefield Community.

Rumored release date is Fall 2014.

Do you think that Hardline will be a good game for eSports?

I kinda want it TBH, I always wanted a police game. Also, I find that it might even be like payday with objectives except without any AI.

There could be police chases with money stolen from a bank.

Maybe even an open world aspect like a watch dogs map.

Diamond 5 in League :)

It needs to stop being so "realistic" and start being lighter like CS or COD for me to want to play it competitively.

That's why I like the Bad Company series. Instead of 'Tango Northeast of your location'.... it said 'Shit! Enemies spotted in your location' but it was in a Hippie voice so it was funny and gave character to the game.

Well I would say if the game works properly, yes it could be a popular game for esports. Didn't they just finish a big BF4 competition?

k. I mean its about raiding banks, saving hostages, and securing money. So alot of teamwork is needed, giving the sense of Competition. I think that if a player abandon the match before it ended, the get a penalty, That way the team is balanced. Same said like Dota 2 and CSGO Competitive mode

I thought the netcode was so bad that nobody was interested in hosting a BF4 event. I don't really follow eSports that much. Only recently I've gotten into it.

I think if a player abandoned a match they would be kicked from the team immediately. This is serious stuff if you're actually playing on a team in a tournament. You can win BIG $$$ too.

I think it was after the last patches and they said the problem was related to server hardware so I'm guessing they upgraded the severs and then did the tournament. They also made it COD style with small maps and assault rifles etc, much like what Hardline will probably be like.

They did say they rebuild the way AI works for this game so they may have some coop v AI or possibly integrate it into multilayer like Titanfall did
