Hi everyone upgraded my pc graphics card to a Rx 7600 and it's not displaying not sure if it's faulty or it's my motherboard or power supply. My motherboard is B550M PRO-VDH my power supply is a mag 650 watts. CPU is AMD RYZEN 5 5600 ram is 32 gigs.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍.

The Radeon RX 7600 should work in that motherboard and the power supply is good.

You plugged the cable in to the GPU and not the motherboard, right?

I've upgraded GPU's a few times and without drivers. So having a blank screen is normal while not having the drivers installed.

Also not sure what graphics card you're coming from, but make sure you have the 8 pin power cable plugged into the card itself (and not just relying on power from the PCI slot).

I know there's a lot of pretty basic advice in here, but even the best of us can forget something simple.

@Holmes108 @BillBill @Tetras @Hinjima Hi everyone my Rx 7600 GPU still giving me issues driver's are updated but still have issues.

Gaming seems okay had a few crashes seems like that as stopped.

What's annoying me is every time I restart I get a green screen before it gets onto the desktop I have attached a pic what it looks like.

When I first built my PC my motherboard MSI AMD B550M PRO-VDH AM4 DDR4 Micro ATX Gaming motherboard had issues because it kept going into Chinese language and was buggy from the beginning but managed to sort that issue just don't know if this is all related to my problems with GPU.

Anyways also another issue it won't let me get into the bios because it hangs at the green screen but if I keep trying to get into the bios it will let me in.

What's funny is I tried it on a other TV I know I should get a gaming monitor but it's a bit expensive at the minute tried to get into the bios on that screen I get a black screen and hangs. But what's weird I but the cable back into my TV after crashing it was at the bios already but not displaying so second TV didn't crash.

I had gtx 1660 card and a gtx 1070ti never had issues with these cards.

It can be caused by faulty hardware or a faulty driver. Next green screen you get there might be an error code listed. Take a picture of the screen if there is a code. That will display what device might be causing the green screen. I know that it does pop up pretty fast. If the green screen doesn't stay on long enough to take a picture. You might have to do a clean install of Windows.

@BillBill I had a look but there is no code on the green screen I did uninstall drivers using ddu. But no fix still get green screen or flickering before entering desktop.

Bios is so annoying because I can't get into because of issue.

Would fresh install of windows really resolve this problem?.

A fresh install might solve this. I remember having a green screen without a code it is was my onboard audio driver. From an old PC that I used to have.

@BillBill Will give it a try do you think it could be the motherboard from having issues from the beginning with BIOS and Chinese language and crashing.

I do remember an old PC. When I tried using the onboard GPU while having a dedicated GPU it would popup in Chinese along with English. Said something about GPU already installed. This could be as simple as one bad driver or outdated driver. Worse case would be a bad hardware device. Even a mouse or keyboard could cause this.

@BillBill Thanks BillBill I was going to buy another motherboard but it's so expensive this pc as cost me loads.

Is this doesn't work what would you return motherboard, or GPU.

I would try to narrow down on what is causing this before returning anything.
