Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: story games and a few competitive games at 1440p:

Cyberpunk (with raytracing?)

Black ops 6

Sea of thieves

Cs2

subnautica 2

ark survival ascended/evolved

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

PCPartPicker Part List: https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/mDTc6D

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor (€489.00 @ Alternate)

It's good, but Radeon cards are just bad at RT (more than 1 gen behind Nvidia, my 7900XTX barely reaches my previous 3080 in RT performance), if you want a better RT experience get a 4070

To save money you can downgrade to a way better value CPU, 7700X, the 7800X3D will not give you much in GPU limited scenarios

Can also save on the cooling, and get a better quality PSU instead, you don't need 1000W anyway

Bout says it all. Do not buy this CPU. Spend that on 9800x3D in a few weeks or just get a 7700x/9700x.

Extreme overkill, money can be saved here. Only consider this if you simply like the way it looks and aren't pulling funds from somewhere else. If it must be white: https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/product/DhWJ7P/thermalright-peerless-assassin-140-778-cfm-cpu-cooler-peerless-assassin-140-white

C-.

A lot of pricy uncompetitive parts, mismatched spec, old design parts and some not so reputable brands.

Worst offender is the fact that your AIO costs more than the case...

AMD not the best at ray tracing.

Side note, 7800X3D is the best gaming CPU but priced to infinity, beyond recommendation really for still retaining a grain of value.

Consider this. At 1440p CPU performance becomes less relevant. If you want a white theme that can be done. 1TB boot and 4TB separate mass storage:

7600 + 7900xt + 32gb 6000c30

youll be looking around the same price as your current list with a 9800x3d once those launch but ive upgraded the gpu to a 7900xt with a minor upgrade to the ssd and now ive picked a good board with only 2 dimm slots so the rgb rams look better (also clock 8000+ if neccesary with future cpu gens)

if youd like a cheaper build you should be able to find used 6900xt/6950xt for 400-450€ or atleast around the same price as a new 7800xt

not too far behind the 7900xt and still beats the 7900 gre and 4070s

You can drop to cheaper Vengance or Ares RAM simply because the big tower cooler will cover your RGB RAM, not really worth paying for RGB you won't be seeing.

PSU still lacking ATX 3.0 standard. You'll be needing to use a dongle, at this price point.. why?

I'd still consider the 4070S, not far in price from one another, save the 30eur for RAM that can go straight to the Super upgrade.

Huh? Can you explain what ATX 3.0 is? Cuz i have no idea what that is, the ram and 4070s is noted

Another thing about the ram is that the rgb costs less than the normal ram for some reason

New NVIDIA GPU's use a one cable solution, a 12VHPWR cable. If you have old PSU, you need 3/4 8 pin cables in a dongle. Looks ugly. Just use one cable, one 12VHPWR cable out from PSU, other side in the GPU.

Yes, you look at the spec of the PSU and see if they list a 12VHPWR cable or not. Some highlight it in the PSU name such as ATX 3.0 and so on, but you gotta look at each PSU separately.
