Upgrading from 2070 Super

What would be the best upgrade in terms of value from a 2070 Super GPU? I recently bought a 1440p monitor and I'd like to hit some higher framerates. Right now I'm debating the 4070 Ti Super. Any thoughts?

4070Ti is a nice GPU, but what's the rest of your system ?

Alternative is 7900XT, a bit less expensive but no NVidia software

R5 3600x which I am planning to upgrade to 5700X3D along with the GPU, on top of X570 Aorus Ultra, powered by RM650x PSU.

I'd prioritise upgrading you CPU first, borderline ASAP. 5800X3D's are no longer being made so price is shooting up through the roof and along side it 5700X3D's are now going up in price as well due to dwindling stocks and the alternative not being an option anymore. 5700X3D's been at a stable $200~ for about a year now but creeping up to a stable $230~ as of now.

 

GPU's will come and go quickly, all will be compatible with your system. CPU's are a much shorter window that will close if you don't buy in.

You've no need for a new motherboard. As long as you don't have a bottom of the barrel motherboard now, it'll be fine.

 

650W is low. That's what most people upgrade from not upgrade to.
