Hello!

Yesterday I have installed Windows 11 v24H2.

I am keeping all of my drivers & programs on SSD inside ISO images, which I am opening with PowerISO.

When I've tried installing the drivers, the following error popped on my screen: "Incorrect function".

Then, I've tried installing other programs that are located inside other ISO images, and they all gave the same error: "Incorrect function".

However, if I copy a program kit from the ISO, and paste it on Local Disk D, I'll be able to install that program.

<What I've tried so far>

1. I've reinstalled Windows 11 clean again, by deleting & re-creating partitions.

2. I've downloaded & installed the newest PowerISO.

3. I've disabled the fTPM from the BIOS menu.

4. I've updated Windows 11 v24H2 to the latest build number.

<Question>

Is there a solution to solve this on Win11 v24H2, except installing back v23H2?

<UPDATE>

I have solved the mystery:

All versions of PowerISO are incompatible with Windows 11 v24H2 (though they were compatible with v23H2).

If I mount any ISO image directly in Windows, I'll be able to run the software kits that are located inside.

Thank you, that worked. Life saver!

Hello!

Please keep in mind that Windows opens up ISO images, but it can't open other popular formats (such as NRG, BIN, etc.).

Those other formats can be converted, easily, to ISO, using the free program AnyBurn.

Here's a link to the program:

I hope this will help...
