Budget (including currency): Roughly $1500

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTA, Satisfactory, and racing games. In the future I would like to video capture, video edit, 3D model, and 3D print.

Other details

Parts already purchased - CPU, MoBo, and RAM (Spent $400 pre tax)

I would prefer parts without RGB if it saves money.

CPU - Intel i9-12900K

MoBo - ASUS Prime Z790-V AX

RAM - GSkill Ripjaw S5 32 GB (2x16) DDR5 - 6000 - CL32

Storage - Looking at Crucial P3 Plus or T500 (Both 1 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x 4) - Is there a real world difference in performance that would be noticed? Is there another brand that is quality and bang for your buck?

AIO Cooler - Looking to get a 360mm radiator. Best quality unit for roughly $100? Would I be okay going with a 240/280mm radiator instead?

GPU - Looking at 3070s/3080s/4070s. Would there be any issues going with AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT? I have noticed the 7800s are a lot cheaper and seem to give better performance based on product details. Where is the limit of diminishing returns? Looking to get high quality HD (something probably below 4K) at 120+ Hz.

PSU - 850W Fully Modular 80+ Gold ideally the minimum I would purchase. Looking at Super Flower. Any brands or issues to be aware of?

Case - Lian Li Lancool 207 or other mid towers below $100 that prioritize air flow. A case that comes with at least 3 fans is ideal. If a 240/280 AIO works I would probably opt for a Fractal Pop Air.

Monitor - Something that will give me 120+Hz at a high quality (does not need to be 4k). Probably will wait for a black friday deal to get something at a low price. Any recommendations?

Rough PC part list here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9CpwMV

Also I live near a Micro Center so I can go there for most parts. (Where I got the CPU/MoBo/RAM combo)

Thank you in advance for any recommendations or personal experience you can share!

It's okay, except the overpriced PSU !

With the savings on the PSU you can get a good 2TB Gen4 drive

T500 for sure: it has a dram cache.
I'm fond of the GM7000 from acer. Cache and good speeds, while also decently priced.

If you want to avoid dealing with AIO's, get a peerless assasin or the EVO. Unless you really want the best performance on creative tasks, then get a 360mm aio. Price varies but, yeah 100$ is a decent budget for one.

GPU

7800's are cheap because AMD is a more budget friendly option. If you are going to use it for creative tasks, I'd just get an NVIDIA gpu, you'd have better comptatability and also their creative software.
In terms of performance in games, a 7800xt falls slightlly behind a 4070 SUPER, but the price difference is rather big.
I'd suggest a 7900 GRE or 4070 TI in terms of 1440p high fps gaming.

Totally up to you. Just look at the reviews before you buy. I like the RMx850 from corsair, but I do believe super flower is also good.

Honestly man, up to you. As long as it's an ATX, you'll be fine.

A 1440p 120hz display will run you around 400~ USD max. Unless you want an OLED, then it's more like 700-ish.

Thanks for the info! I noticed the Corsair RM850x (2021) is the same price as the 750W PSU you listed above. Seems like it has great reviews just two years older. Is 850W overkill for my build? PartPicker is showing 628 estimated wattage.

Thanks for the detailed info on GPUs. Got me to do a little more in depth research and I will be changing it up to a 4070 Super. 1440p with high quality settings and roughly 120 fps seems like a good budget/performance level for me.

There's no such thing as an overkill PSU 😊

And I can only tell good things about the RM850x as I use one since early 2021 (so it's a 2018 model I think, in white)
