wtf is wrong with movie trailers these days

about ~8 years ago ive noticed movie trailers just ruining the whole movie for me

an example would be  oblivion (SPOILER)

in the trailer it showed that the "other beings" were actually humans

and by that i knew they were the resistance and by that i knew tom cruise was helping the bad guys

spoiler much? this is the reason i don't watch movie trailers and well.. for the most part i don't watch movies either, due to the extremely limited attention span of people and trying to make short adds that generate as much hype as possible they reveal WAY too much in the trailer, they reveal the twists and all the secrets of the movie to get people interested, the only part they don't show you is the ending and all the time consuming middle parts between plot points.

Any hype about a movie turns out to be bad, for me atleast. I read reviews and hit the movies. Never trailers, maybe some shows but not movies.

Yeah, in the trailer of 'GRAVITY', it shows her walking through green grass..... hmmm maybe that means she got back to Earth. SMH,

Yeah that's why I don't watch any trailers and just try my luck by picking a random film too watch and guide myself by the movie cover/posters to get an idea for what it could be about. It's always nice to be surprised instead of knowing the entire plot to begin with :)

I never watch trailers. I usually go into movies completely blind to what the movie was even about. That said, I have been convinced into seeing a few horror movies which I had to desire to watch because I had no idea what said movie was about.
