I am getting a 4080 super msi slim and a h9 flow case. I want to vertically mount it but don’t know which mount is best. Is the Nzxt mount with the support reject that screws onto the bottom of the case better than the cooler master v3? I want whichever one will sag the least

You really could just keep one build threads going, so people can understand what you're doing as a whole.

Use the Nzxt mount.

I wouldn't say 2.5, bracket itself is literally 3 slots wide:

I actually thought the 4080 super and 4070ti super shared the same heatsink since it's overkill on a 4070ti super even.

But your right that's stupid.

I am getting a new GPU for Christmas this year and don’t know what to do. Should I wait for the 5080 or just get the 4080 super. I have a 7800x3d but my motherboard is a b650 and I have heard that the 5080 might be pcie5. Is that true with pcie5?

Actually, depends on the motherboard, some gigabytes do have pcie gen 5 on them, maybe yours does too.

As for but 4080 or 5080, that's honestly up to you, but keep a few things in mind:
4080 will become cheaper when the 5080 comes out, so you could save some cash. And then depending on performance, you'd see if it's worth paying extra or not.

I have an Asrock motherboard Asrock b650 pro rs. It’s pcie 4.

I doubt RTX 5080 will be PCIE 5.  The 4090 is barely saturating PCIE 3 and PCIE 4 is twice the speed of PCIE 3.

We should be good for at least a few more years before PCIE 5 is required.

I plan on using a 5090 with my own PCIE 4 B650 motherboard.

The truth is, we dont know yet.

We have only leaks and rumors, we have absolutely no real benchmarks or numbers to go by.

I use an overclocked RTX 4080 and I am perfectly happy with the performance at 1440p.

I'm a graphics and performance snob and the 4080 do what I want 🙂

Its up to you, just because a 5080 comes out doesn't make the 4080 a bad card or worse in performance.

We can't really answer this for you.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but will they tell us the price a month or two in advance? Also is the founders edition the only card that comes out with release or do companies like Asus or msi have them also? Again sorry if this is a dumb question and thank you

We usually get prices during the announcement of said cards.

Usually the FE models are open for Pre-Orders and the other cards from ASUS, MSI release 3-7 days after Nvidia's Founders Edition cards.  Now that Nvidia is actually taking up competition against AIB cards we can expect Nvidia to not allow AIB to release cards the same day they do.

But it has depended on the series that has launched, it hasn't always been the same.

Don't worry about 'dumb questions'  Thats how we learn 😄  Rather ask and learn than not ask at all.

Hopefully more leaks will come out soon. I’m getting this for Christmas but I wont make a purchase before we all know the price of the 5080. If the price is to high I’ll just get the 4080 super. I have an 850w psu hopefully that’ll be enough. Hopefully it’s the same price as the 4080 super, if so I’ll be sleeping outside micro center waiting for one. Does micro center get the cards from Msi Asus etc before they come out to be stocked or is it delayed? Thanks for all your help

The 5080 will definitely be more expensive than the 4080 Super.

I would say the 5080 will be the same price that the 4080 released at.

I could be wrong of course but thats just my guess,

I use a 750w with my own RTX 4080 and I see a total system power draw during heavy gaming of around 450w 🙂  I could get away with a solid 650w.

A 850w should be enough for a 5080 too.

MicroCenter will have the cards in inventory before release but they are not allowed to put them up for sale until Nvidia give them the green light 🙂

If you want to keep up with leaks and rumors I suggest Subscribing to ''RedGamingTech'' and ''Moore's Law Is Dead'' on youtube and watch out on websites like https://wccftech.com/ and https://videocardz.com/.

Its all very technical, for nerds like me 😄

Are you actually buying it? Your other posts indicate otherwise. It's getting difficult to follow all of your topics.
