No, there is no fixing that level of physical damage, replacement is the only option (or external monitor - but that is a workaround, not a fix)

Yay, bike crash...

At least if it isn't, I own a framework....

You know what's funny? First inspection finds no damage. The screen is just super fragile apparently, it's the only thing that recieved damage.

If by "fixable" you mean replacing the display. Fixing the existing display is not possible.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Depends how much is broken, if its just the LCD, you can find one semi cheap on ebay. if its the top half of the laptop clam shell (so the hinge, the glass, the plastic) its more expensive.

You might have to decide if its economically repairable

When I had the hinge blow out the glass on my ryzen 1 laptop two years ago. repairing was 300 USD because it was the entire top assembly. and a new zen 3 laptop I was able to fund under 700, at that point it really becomes 6 of one half a dozen of the other, when I knew the zen 1 laptop would no longer be supported at all past H1 2025. If I had just broken the LCD and not the glass and hinge, I could have fixed it for 150ish, and I would have gone that route.

look at the service manual for your laptop model, grab the part number you need, check ebay.

Thanks.

I have a framework laptop, so the display is replaceable and easy to do.

The cheapest option on eBay is about 30$ cheaper than a new one.

I guess my question was more:

Any things I should try the old fuck around and find out method with to see if there is any hope? Or do I just order a new display now....
