PC Gaming Tower for $2000

Yosh1

Hi,

i've been asked to build a gaming PC for $2000.

Would you recommend a pre-built system or build it all yourself for that budget?

I've added parts up in the past and it's not much difference to just buy a pre-built system.

Is the difference genuine? Often from real PC builders that aren't scammers have a build fee that's significant enough to build one yourself or they're selling an old system at a steep discount to break even and not have a loss.

It really depends, pre-built systems are convinient.

While custom PCs can use almost entire budget on the specific strength of hardware you require.

Unless the pre-built is good value or on discount, the real value of it can vary, and sometimes you're "trading off" performance between different pre-builts.

Some websites assemble parts for a very minor price, considering you're buying all of said parts from that one same website that is..

Feel free: To ask any question, no matter what question it is, I will try to answer. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

I've seen PC building sites that sell their prebuilds cheaper than it is for me to buy the same parts on PCPartPicker and build it myself. Only downside is many of them give a bedroom hobbyist vibes so still a risk if you'll get a real product or have even more headaches with the PC appearing/ghosting you and then trying to get your money back.
