What is the budget you have for the system upgrade ( Not including the GPU )

I would say yes, a little.  You will still see a huge increase in performance and the upgrade will be totally worth it.

The i5-10400f is still a somewhat okay processor, you would of course see more performance if you also upgraded the CPU but the Prime h510m-E'' lacks any sort of VRM cooling so I wouldn't put a much faster CPU in that motherboard.

Get the 2080Ti and continue gaming 🙂

Your 650w PSU should also be fine for this upgrade.

The biggest problem I see is that it's a high possibility that the 2080 ti is either artifacting or completely bricked. At $150 they're either getting the deal of a lifetime or a 2080 ti that isn't usable.

In the future you could probably drop another 200$ on a 10700 and a peerless assassin cooler and have a pretty rockin rig, though you'll be close to the limits of that 650W supply at that point

5950X/4090FE primary rig  |  1920X/1070Ti Unraid for dockers  |  200TB TrueNAS w/ 1:1 backup
