Side Exhaust AIO?

I know it's usually fine as I see that mounting option used most often, but I am wondering if my logic for side exhaust holds up 😄

It would also look better since it would fill the entire space on the side or front while the top can hold a 360 and I have a 280

Either side exhaust or front intake, preferably with tubes down on the rad and up on the block (never down) will be great.  Which is actually better varies from one config to another. Kris and I have run separate tests and found these to be true, and top not to be the best, but not necessarily the worst, either.

Helloes,

I have recently acquired a Corsair 2500D case and I have the option of mounting my radiator as front intake, top exhaust or side exhaust.

I was thinking, since front intake rad and side intake rad push heat into the case, and top exhaust gets heat from the gpu running through the rad, then the best option is side exhaust?

Considering two fans front intake would pull fresh air for the side fans and either top exhaust fans or bottom intake fans would help the gpu get in air from the bottom.

Any thoughts?

I think top exhaust with front in take is fine. You'll have the top-front fan supplying fresh air to the top AIO and the lower-front fan for the GPU.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.
