I recently wanted to get into dcs and I want to get a nice and relatively affordable HOTAS and was looking for some recommendations. I would prefer something no more than 300USD at the max. And while I am asking can a HOTAS be used for war thunder sim/realistic battles?

Thanks in advance.

For under $300 USD you're pretty much limited to Thrustmaster or Logitech entry level kits that you're going to want to replace pretty quickly.

If that's a hard limit, your best bet would be a Winwing URSA Minor stick or VKB Gladiator NXT EVO Premium stick paired with a Thrustmaster  TWCS throttle.

If you can save up to around the $400-500 range go for the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO Premium stick and VKB STECS throttle system.

At $450-500 your in range of a full metal HOTAS from Winwing but their higher end sticks don't come with a rudder twist on the stick so you're looking to add another $300+ set of rudder pedals (Don't cheap out on rudder pedals, either get good ones or use a twist stick)
