asus vs gigabyte

2. GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-Gaming 7   179$

I am gonna play games with single gpu and overclock at max limit ...what should i buy???

 

shall i go for better components like ud5h or better audio of gaming series boards???

 

are these onboard audio  like supreme fx, alc 1150 any good??? shall i buy ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO 229$   or  cheap GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD3H  146$ and cheap sound card???

 

shall i go for gaming features or durable board like GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD5H or GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-Gaming 7 ???

If you want to overclock to the absolute maximum you might want to get the maximus 7 hero. BUT the sabertooth offers excellent stability and a 5 year warranty, so you might not achieve the same oc's (there shouldn't be that much difference anyway) but you can be sure it will work always. The gigabyte boards you mention aren't really up to the asus ones imo, unless you have budget restrictions I'd go with asus.

keep your money buy a cheaper motherboard (it doesnt efect performance) and buy a better gpu
