gtx 650ti boost or 750 ti?

Legenderys
Go to solution Solved by KamiKatze,

it's from a local online shop....

http://www.e-shop.gr/asus-gtx650ti-dc2o-1gd5-1gb-gddr5-pci-e-retail-p-PER.513661

http://www.e-shop.gr/asus-gtx750ti-oc-2gd5-2gb-gddr5-pci-e-retail-p-PER.513648

if you have any other suggessions i can try to find it in ebay or sth else with not a lot shiping cost to greece.

The Asus one is on a deal, the difference is only 30€. Get it. Nauw! :D

124€ is too much for a 650 TI Boost. Is tech allways that expensive in greece? The GTX 750 Ti costs around 125€ in germany.

Anyways. I'd go for the Asus 750 Ti.

I was wondering for a long time which one is better...

after watching some benchmarks (as linus recommends) i saw that they are pretty close to each other (talking about fps).....

so???

If they are the same (or similar) performance wise then I would get the 750 Ti because it uses the new Maxwell Arch so it has better energy use. My two cents

Cpu: Intel i5- 4570 | Ram: Crucial DDR3 8GB | Video Card: Evega GTX 660 Ti 2GB Super Clocked

Monitor: Philips 24" | Keyboard: CM Storm Quickfire TK | Mouse: Logitech G700s |

Steam

Peripherals: Logitech G19 and SteelSeries Sensei RAW

Toshiba L50-A: i7 4700mq, 8gb, 1TB HDD, GT 740M 2gb

Where do you live? That difference is enormous. In that case I'd prolly go 650 Ti Boost.

I can say that the 750 Ti overclocks like mad. My firend's Gigabyte 750 Ti could overclock by 25% even with that semi-voltage lock that cards come with nowadays. With a BIOS flash you could unlock the TDP from 38.5W (which it's locked at) to the 60W, which it originally was specified with. Then you can turn even more OC madness on it. Thermals with that 'mild' OC of my friend's card are also very good (50 °C) with lots of room sto spare...

So with some OCing you can get a lot of performance and with some fiddeling you could potentially get a lot of power out of that card.

who cares...

So according to these benchmarks and the overclocking abilities that 750ti has. it is a better option...

What are the exact prices for the two cards? Do you plan to get the 650 Ti Boost 2nd hand?

Also keep in mind that you can't rely on getting a good OC-able card, it's still luck of the draw. But i am confident that others could also OC their 750 Tis very well. Maybe you can find something about the overclockability online.

You'll do the overclock yourself with MSI Afterburner. nobody knows how far it can go because that's different from card to card.
