Does color mode matter?

Twister

I saw some monitors use sRGB, some use Adobe RGB, some use dci-p3, some use ntsc, so my question is, does it matter and if so which is better or delivers more accurate colors on the RGB scale or able to different colors through shadows, lightning etc or even better on displaying dark rooms, light rooms etc?

What color space is your content you working with made in?

Generally most stuff is sRGB/rec709 that is on the web, with rec2020/2100 starting to get more popular with HDR. Unless your working with formats that you know are something else I'd say ignore the other color spaces ratings.

What monitors are you looking at?

There's a bunch of different im looking at, but typically comparing all brands, dell, msi, asus, lg etc.

I am using pc for all purposes, gaming, yt, surfing, website developing, photos, photoshoping

so would a 99% sRGB VA monitor display the same accurate image as a 99% sRGB IPS monitor?

Generally look at reviews, and take the 99% ratings with a grain of salt. Your gonna wanna calibrate the displays if you want good color too.

What are your monitor requirements? Size? Resolution? Cost?

Thats probably gonna all be sRGB unless you want to work with HDR.

When I have my final top 5 or whatever Ill post them here.

24-25" , 1080p , $150-300

I have a very small desk, live in a small apartment, so thats the reason i dont want a bigger monitor. it will not fit or fit into the location its gonna be put at.

I'd be darm tempted to go 1440p if you can, the extra screen space or sharpness is nice.

Im sitting really close to the monitor, I dont know how it would benefit me, example I can't fit a keyboard + monitor on my desk. (with the foot monitor standing on)

I have to have the foot halfway outside the table for it to fit both keyboard + monitor on table, so sitting 10-15 cm away from the monitor would have me move my neck in uncomfortable positions to view the full screen if it's 27 inch big.

p3 is for hdr, adobe rgb is for photoshop but can also be used for regular content, albeit oversaturated, personal preference, srgb is standard for most srgb content, but it's outdated imho.

99% of the monitors out there will do srgb just fine, VA has better contrast if you are not bothered by the black smearing

this one is a good mini-led VA monitor with decent hdr support, also the cheapest monitor i'd recommend

if you don't want VA or don't need hdr, then the cheapest ips gaming monitor i'd recommend is this one

if you want a 24inch monitor that's mainly for photoshop, then it's the sw240, but it's only 60hz

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CCQGFFG/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1

if you want a 24inch 144hz ips monitor cause 27inch absolutely won't fit ur desk, probably this one

You can get a 24 in 1440p display. Desk space won't be any different than a 1080p 24in display, but give you a lot more space for windows and programs, or make all the text and images sharper.

most of the monitors that report 99% srgb is post calibration, they usually can do more.

iirc 99% argb is >150% srgb, and only the sw240 can do that from that list, it's primarily a 60hz photoshop monitor.
