No... 260 is more powerful than both 750 and 750Ti

270/X competes with 760

280/X with 770

290/X with 780/Ti

Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

well it just sounds like you are when you comparing a titan to a 295x when its clearly a weaker gpu

GTX 750 = R7 260X

GTX 750 Ti = R7 265

no direct Nvidia equivalent from 7 series = R9 270

GTX 760 = R9 270X, R9 280

GTX 770 = R9 280X

GTX 780 = R9 290

GTX 780 Ti = R9 290X

Nvidia left a big gap between the GTX 750 Ti and GTX 760. AMD rules the price bracket between $150 and $250 with an iron fist, thanks to the R7 265, R9 270 and R9 270X.

Do note that the R9 280 is direct competitor due to price, but R9 270X performs similarly to the GTX 760. Hence, you will see every R9 270X review comparing it to the GTX 760, even though the R9 270X is $50 cheaper. The R9 280 became the direct competitor of the GTX 760 recently because AMD dropped its price to $250.

You cannot SLI different cards or different memory configurations. i.e. you cannot SLI a GTX 760 and GTX 770, nor can you SLI a GTX 770 2 GB and GTX 770 4 GB. It has to be GTX 760 2 GB + GTX 760 2 GB, or GTX 770 2 GB + GTX 770 2 GB. Has to be the same configuration.

For AMD Crossfire, you can Crossfire cards that have the same chip, regardless of memory configuration. i.e. you can Crossfire an HD 7950 with an R9 280 because both use the Tahiti chip.

If I were you, just replace your R9 280X with another R9 280X. It's much faster than the GTX 760. The R9 280X you got is defective. You could also go for a GTX 770 if the price is good. But I remember correctly that you live in Singapore and the GTX 770 is a tad bit overpriced there. I went to Singapore and Hong Kong recently and the GTX 770 commands a $100 USD advantage over the R9 280X. The pricing is bonkers.

Why are you going to sell it when you know it's defective? Just return it to the store. You have your receipt don't you? I know what you're going through, since we're not as lucky as people in western countries with their fancy consumer protection laws. While you can't get a full cash refund, you could still have it changed for an equivalently priced item. I suggest a Sapphire R9 280X instead. Just avoid the Toxic edition.

im gonna change for a new gpu then sell it but since noe of my 760s can match it i'll have to sell away the relaced card  no point keeping a unused card around the house

780 Ti > 290X

780 = 290

770 = 280X

760 = 280

660 Ti = 270X

***** = 270

750 Ti / 660 = 265

GTX 660 is much better than 750Ti.

GTX 660 is much better than 750Ti.

Was not comparing the 750 Ti to the 660, but was comparing the performance of the R7 265 to the performance range of comparable cards from Nvidia. The GTX 660 beats the the R7 265, and the 750 Ti gets beat by the R7 265 in most games. (Bioshock Infinite for example favors the 750 Ti). That puts the 265 in the middle where no exact card exists for Nvidia. Also, even though the 265 beats the 750 Ti in most games, their performance range is the same. Metro Last Light running at 33fps maxed out on the 265, and 30fps maxed out on the 750 Ti, will make zero difference to the end user. Crysis 3 running at 40fps maxed out on the 265, and 36fps maxed out on the 750 Ti, will make zero difference to the end user.
