EDIT: the BIOS was fine and had nothing to do with the CPU, the issues lied elsewhere 😄

I’m in the middle of building a PC for/with my friend. We have concluded that we cannot get an output to the monitor because the Ryzen 5600X is too new for the BIOS on the ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI. The problem is is that it would take annoyingly long to obtain an older Ryzen chip, so we were wondering if there is any way to force a BIOS flash using a laptop connected via Ethernet. Also this motherboard doesn’t have a BIOS flash button which is where the issue lies. The bios is on version 3404. Will I be able to use a laptop to force flash the BIOS, or do we just need an older CPU to update the BIOS? If you need anymore info just ask!
