My fps has been lower in valorant than before. I used to get around 350-400 frames and often above 400 but not stable there. I did occasionally see 500. Now I get around 250-300 with often above 300 but not stable. Almost never see 400 now. I only noticed it lately because i have a 240hz monitor and i get drops to around 150 fps. Things I have considered and done: turn all startups off in Task Manager, only run discord in the background. Could this be Valorant getting heavier or my pc getting slower? Maybe something i cant see is running in the background but i dont know how to determine that.

Pc specs:

Ryzen 5 5600

Rtx 4060

500w power supply, (i know it's on the low end but never experienced problems before.)

2tb ssd

Can anyone please help me i ran out of ideas what to do and I'm pretty sure i missed something but i just dont know it. If needed i can install Linux to see if Windows is the problem but i didn't really want to do that yet because i didn't think it was the problem.

What methods did you try to solve it?

Did you buy new monitor or just have this one?

Any changes hardware/software wise?

lower FPS on new maps perhaps or something?

I haven't really tried solving it because i have no idea where the problem lies, i have tried to see where the problem is and i think it is on the cpu side but I'm not too sure. Cpu doesn't get too hot but does seem to be running some cores on almost or fully 100%. I just wouldn't know what to do to solve it

Check taskmanager for any weird background processes...

give us temps for all components.. (msi afterburner overlay)

what ssd?

RAM? (exactly)

lastly, what was the previous cpu?

The direction tells you... the direction
