I upgraded my CPU from a ryzen 5 1600 to a ryzen 7 5700x and the machine turns on but doesn't post. I updated the BIOS to 7.0 but still doesn't post. If I swap the CPU back to the old one it works just fine. I checked ASRock CPU support list and it list the new CPU under the motherboard I have so it should work but idk what I'm doing wrong.

System specs;

Motherboard: ASRock 320 m-hdv r4.0

Ram: Corsair vengeance ddr4 2x16gb @3200 mhz

CPU (old) ryzen 5 1600

CPU (new) ryzen 7 5700x

GPU: rtx 2060

some MB require sequential install of specific BIOS versions,

you are actually lucky, because in order to get 7.1 version you should install 7.0 first before that,

and unless your MB had the oldest bios, that's all you had to do, so you're pretty much done with steps
